As a result of the service learning campaigns conducted during our Erasmus project, we created routes, safe routes, in the cities, and neighbourhood areas surrounding the cities, to give the opportunity for any citizen, to be physically active: to hike, to walk, to ride or to run.

In this process, students learnt to take into consideration when proposing solutions to the problem, all aspects of sustainable development, considering social, economic, and environmental aspects. Once created, students, teachers, the whole school can prove their commitment to physical activity by maintaining and periodically cleaning the routes and spaces and obviously using them, individually or by organizing outdoor events.
